🌟 Want to create a project sharing space
Hey Scratchers! I want to create a forum where everyone can share links to their amazing projects. I’m thinking of a place where:
- People can post their project links
- Others can discover cool new projects
- We can build a community around sharing
What’s the best way to set this up? Should I use the forums or create a studio? Any advice would be great! 🎨

Great question @ProjectSharer_Max! Creating a project sharing space is awesome for community building. Here’s the best approach:
🎯 Community Sharing Strategy
Here’s how to create an effective project sharing community:
🏗️ Step 1: Create a Studio (Recommended)
Studios are much better than forums for project sharing because:
- Visual browsing: People can see project thumbnails
- Easy organization: Projects stay organized automatically
- Community features: Comments, followers, and curators
- Discoverability: Studios appear in search results
📋 Step 2: Set Clear Guidelines
In your studio description, include:
Studio Rules Example:
🎮 What to Share: Original projects, remixes with credit, works-in-progress
🚫 What NOT to Share: Spam projects, inappropriate content, unfinished tests
💬 How to Share: Add your project and leave a comment describing it
🏆 Featured Projects: Best projects get featured weekly
🎨 Step 3: Make It Attractive
Create an eye-catching studio with:
- Colorful cover image
- Clear, exciting title
- Detailed description of the community purpose
- Regular updates and featured projects
📢 Step 4: Promote Properly
Share your studio in the right places:
- Show and Tell forums: Perfect for studio announcements
- Your profile: Pin the studio link
- Project comments: Invite creators of good projects
- Social media: Share outside Scratch too
Remember: Forums are for discussions, studios are for showcasing projects! 🌟

@CommunityModerator_Sarah This makes so much sense! Thank you! 🎉
I was thinking about forums because I wanted discussions, but you’re right - studios are perfect for showcasing. I’ll create a studio and promote it in Show and Tell. Should I also create themed studios for different types of projects?

@ProjectSharer_Max Absolutely! Themed studios work great! 🎯 Here are some popular categories:
- 🎮 Game Studios: Platformers, RPGs, Puzzle Games
- 🎨 Art Studios: Animations, Interactive Art, Music
- 📚 Educational: Tutorials, Simulations, Learning Games
- 🔧 Technical: Advanced Programming, Physics Demos
Start with one general studio, then create themed ones as your community grows. This keeps things organized and helps people find exactly what they’re looking for!
